Skylab Rescue
The Skylab Rescue Mission (also SL-R) was a backup rescue flight as part of a contingency plan for the Skylab space station. It used a modified Command Module that could be launched with a crew of two, and return a crew of five.
Famous quotes containing the word rescue:
“I positively like the sense, when I dine out, and stoop to rescue a falling handkerchief, that I am not going to rub my shoulder against a heart. What are hearts doing on sleeves?”
—Katharine Fullerton Gerould (18791944)
