Early Life
Dr. Sivanthi Adityan was the second son of S. P. Adithanar and Govinthammal. He did his schooling at Ramakrishna Higher Secondary School and his Bachelors at Presidency College. He was an active NCC Cadet during his school & college days. He served as a NCC Commander for his college and during his early days got trained under the guidance of his father the various nuances of publication trade from being an ordinary worker of Dinath Thanthi, Reporter, Sub-Editor and grew the ranks. Dina Thanthi was printed from 3 cities (Chennai, Madurai, Trichy) when S. P. Adithanar handed over the reins to him in 1959. He worked hard and helped spread the publication print to 15 cities across the country and also Dinath Thanthi was recognized as the largest read daily in India. He was also an avid sportsman and used to work out & train every day.
