Siri Thesis - Conspiracy Theory

Conspiracy Theory

This article contains weasel words: vague phrasing that often accompanies biased or unverifiable information. Such statements should be clarified or removed.

Some people have alleged that Cardinal Siri was poisoned in order to silence him. Again there is no evidence to support this theory. Siri (under duress) attended the Vatican II Council. At one point he was to give an address at it and had a severe medical reaction which prohibited him from speaking. He predicted this medical attack would occur before it did, which has led many to speculate that in some way he was poisoned or drugged. The medical reaction was grave enough that he had to be removed from the floor of the council - which was reported overseas in the New York press. Before Siri died he put a specific plan in motion (created Cardinals) to continue the Petrine succession of the Church, which Siri Thesis adherents hold are in currently in exile.

Famous quotes containing the words conspiracy and/or theory:

People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.
    Adam Smith (1723–1790)

No one thinks anything silly is suitable when they are an adolescent. Such an enormous share of their own behavior is silly that they lose all proper perspective on silliness, like a baker who is nauseated by the sight of his own eclairs. This provides another good argument for the emerging theory that the best use of cryogenics is to freeze all human beings when they are between the ages of twelve and nineteen.
    Anna Quindlen (20th century)
