Singapore Charity Shield

The Singapore Charity Shield is the curtain-raiser to the soccer season in Singapore. The match is contested between the previous year's S.League champions and Singapore Cup winners (or in situations where the same team wins both competition, between the S.League's champions and runners-up).

The Singapore Charity Shield was first contested in 2008. In the inaugural match, the Singapore Armed Forces Football Club defeated Home United FC 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw.
