Short stay apartments are furnished self-contained apartments that are rented for short periods of time, usually days or weeks. They are seen as an alternative to hotels. The apartment will vary from studio apartments to luxury apartments.
Short stay rental is an offshoot of the corporate housing market. The most common use is vacation rental, and short stay rental is also used by people moving home.
Short stay apartments might be 25-50% cheaper than a deluxe hotel room, and some apartments permit pets. Credit checks may be conducted, and a deposit may be required. Some renters have found that online photographs and descriptions were misleading.
