The STARS Calgary base opened in 1985, the Edmonton base opened in 1991 at the Edmonton City Centre Airport (CYXD) and has been moved to the Edmonton International Airport (IATA:YEG, ICAO: CYEG) as a result of the closing of the Edmonton City Centre Airport. STARS also operates from a Grande Prairie base opened in 2006.
