Style of Play
A technically and creatively gifted player who is regarded as one of the best players in the world, Kagawa is a versatile attacking midfielder who is impressive playing either on the left or right flank, or just behind a striker where he would normally assume the role of a play-maker distributing accurate passes and setting up his team-mates for a goal. Kagawa has fantastic composure on the ball and with superb decision-making. He has a good selection of passes and seems to always pick the more sensible pass. He is an agile player who likes to dance around defenders and pick out the impossible pockets of space in the final third. He is said to be an offensive midfielder with one of the best noses for goal. who is able to play simple passes, long passes, creative passes and through balls making it look very easy in the process. He has the ability to draw opposing players out of position with his unpredictable runs and sharp movement. On some occasions for the national team, he has played in a left midfield role, and later as a false-striker.
He was listed 94th in "The 100 Best Footballers in the World" by The Guardian.

Famous quotes containing the words style of, style and/or play:
“I shall christen this style the Mandarin, since it is beloved by literary pundits, by those who would make the written word as unlike as possible to the spoken one. It is the style of all those writers whose tendency is to make their language convey more than they mean or more than they feel, it is the style of most artists and all humbugs.”
—Cyril Connolly (19031974)
“As we approached the log house,... the projecting ends of the logs lapping over each other irregularly several feet at the corners gave it a very rich and picturesque look, far removed from the meanness of weather-boards. It was a very spacious, low building, about eighty feet long, with many large apartments ... a style of architecture not described by Vitruvius, I suspect, though possibly hinted at in the biography of Orpheus.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“A great while ago the world begun,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
But thats all one, our play is done,
And well strive to please you every day.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
