Library

The Shinawatra University Library uses the Library of Congress Classification System. In December 2002 the library became the first in Thailand to implement RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, called LIS Intelligence, to automate book-handing processes, including systems for self-circulation, detection and inventory management.

The undergraduate library at the Pathumthani Campus houses over 10,000 books and magazines from around the world. In addition to hard copies of the 24 top business, management and technology journals, access is provided to online databases covering current and back issues of over 1,500 journals.

Famous quotes containing the word library:

Readers transform a library from a mausoleum into many theaters.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

With sighs more lunar than bronchial,
    Howbeit eluding fallopian diagnosis,
She simpers into the tribal library and reads
That Keats died of tuberculosis . . .
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)

Our civilization has decided ... that determining the guilt or innocence of men is a thing too important to be trusted to trained men.... When it wants a library catalogued, or the solar system discovered, or any trifle of that kind, it uses up its specialists. But when it wishes anything done which is really serious, it collects twelve of the ordinary men standing round. The same thing was done, if I remember right, by the Founder of Christianity.
    Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874–1936)
