History
The Shifa International Hospital was incorporated in 1985–1987 by a small group of Pakistani doctors and other health care professionals working in the United States. Since then Shifa has grown from over 450 contributing members to being a public limited company. It was established to become a center of health care excellence in Pakistan. Many graduates have gone on to US and UK residencies. Shifa College of Medicine has one of the highest rates for US residencies, and many students have top USMLE scores.
