Biography

Sherin hails from the state of Karnataka. She was born in Bangalore as an only child to her parents. She did her schooling at Kaveri School Bangalore and later studied in Baldwin Girls High School. She started modeling in her teen ages and she got the chance to act in her first film when she was only 14 years old in the Kannada film Dhruva. After that, she had offers to act in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam movies. She shot to fame with her debut Tamil film Thulluvadho Ilamai. She also acted in Juniors, a Telugu remake of Thulluvadho Ilamai, but the film failed. Later, in 2005, she acted in the film Danger directed by Krishna Vamsi; though the film received accolades, Sherin went unrecognized. Incidentally, in both the films she starred with Allari Naresh.

She appeared in just a few scenes in her second Tamil film Jaya but managed to liven them up by her vivacious presence, following which she starred in Student No. 1 where she played opposite debut Sibi Raj. She was critically acclaimed for her performance in the film Whistle. Sherin did full justice to the role, which had grey shades. She recently appeared in the hit Malayalam film Moonnamathoral, cor-starring with Jayaram, Jyothirmai and Vineeth. Sherin is starring together with Nanda for the film Urchagam. Sherin also starred in Poova Thalaiya, which released on the 29th of April, 2011.
