Sharpstown International School

Sharpstown Middle School, which serves grades 6 through 12, is part of the Houston Independent School District. As of 2012 it is now an all-magnet school.

Sharpstown International School, which is located in the Sharpstown area, has an international studies magnet program offering Model UN, Comparative Government, and Project-Based Learning to students who wish to attend college. The school was named after its community.

Sharpstown International offers two foreign language classes, Spanish and Chinese. Sharpstown International has an Advanced Placement Program (PreAP/AP). It also has a Capstone program, where students create their own projects for global or local improvement of a certain issue.

The school's mascot for its sports team is the "Spartan".

Sharpstown International offers an annual International Festival. International Festival happens every first Tuesday of December with many games and activities both students and parents can enjoy throughout the night.
