Pomp Jewelry
"For me, POMP means pomp and circumstance. It was important for us to have a one-syllable name and we were looking for a word that means bling."
—Sharon Case speaking about her jewelry line.On July 29, 2010, it was announced that Case would unveil a jewelry line. On August 1, Case launched her line of jewelry, named "Pomp", with a friend and designer, Elif. The line successfully sold out, and new accessories continue to be released through their official website for Pomp; prior to this, the products were available through QVC. The prices ranged from $20–40.
In January 2012, Case told Fashion Wrap-Up what inspired her to make a jewelry line with her best friend, and line's concept and style: "My partner (best friend Elif Inanc) and I came up with the idea for this jewelry line a few years ago. I really love fashion and she is a stylist. We thought it would be fun to be in business together as friends. We like to keep up with the current trends and we also enjoy all of the classics looks - our focus is on both. We deliberated over the name of the line for some time. We both came up with several different names, and in the end POMP is what we both agreed on based on the meaning of the word: splendor, drama, grandeur, etc."

Famous quotes containing the words pomp and/or jewelry:
“His style is eminently colloquial, and no wonder it is strange to meet with in a book. It is not literary or classical; it has not the music of poetry, nor the pomp of philosophy, but the rhythms and cadences of conversation endlessly repeated.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The demonstrations are always early in the morning, at six oclock. Its wonderful, because Im not doing anything at six anyway, so why not demonstrate?... When youve written to your president, to your congressman, to your senator and nothing, nothing has come of it, you take to the streets.”
—Erica Bouza, U.S. jewelry designer and social activist. As quoted in The Great Divide, book 2, section 7, by Studs Terkel (1988)
