Ohio's 8th congressional district has been represented by Republican John Boehner, the Speaker of the House, since 1991. Boehner will seek re-election. David Lewis, a pro-life and Tea Party activist, unsuccessfully challenged Boehner in the Republican primary.
No Democrat filed to challenge Boehner.
