Shangri-La Hotel Singapore - Garden Wing

Garden Wing

Garden Wing was opened in 1978 and was positioned as a tropical retreat in the city. Room types at the Garden Wing were the deluxe rooms, Corner Premier rooms, 1-Bedroom Suites and 2-Bedroom Suites. Besides resort-styled rooms, there were 15 acres of tropical landscaping within the wing which was home to more than 110 varieties of plants, flowers and trees, and included a cascading waterfall and a koi pond. Garden Wing also consisted of the Waterfall Café, where guests could dine by the hotel’s swimming pool.

In 2011, Garden Wing was officially closed for renovation and reopened on 31 May 2012 after 8 months of renovation with costs amounting to 66 million dollars. While the 15 acres of tropical landscaping remains, the room choices at Garden Wing post-renovation will differ post-renovation to offer deluxe rooms, 1-Bedroom Suites and Premier Balcony Suites.

In addition to room type changes, new dining and wellness options are also introduced at the new Garden Wing. Waterfall Café, a Mediterranean-inspired dining concept revolving around healthy cuisines opened on 19 July 2012. CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, which is a signature spa service by the Shangri-La Hotel and Resorts Group opened on 7 December 2012.
