Shane Jolley

Shane Jolley is a Canadian politician, previously the male deputy leader for the Green Party of Ontario. Jolley defeated three other candidates to be elected to the position at the party's annual convention in 2008, and served alongside Judy Smith Torrie, who is the party's female deputy leader.

In May 2008, Jolley was charged with trespassing at night after pursuing a known bike thief across private property. In October 2008, the charges were withdrawn and Jolley paid for a security system for the property owner.

In the 2007 provincial election, Jolley was the Green Party's candidate in Bruce—Grey—Owen Sound and came in second place with more than 33 per cent of the vote, giving Jolley the best finish of any Green Party candidate in a Canadian federal or provincial election at that time.

Jolley declined to run for the Green Party nomination for the 2011 election withdrawing from the race against West Grey councillor Don Marshall. Instead, Jolley will stand as an independent candidate in the 2011 election.
