Early Life and Education

Shamma Jain was born in Jammu & Kashmir, India. She was awarded the Chancellor’s Gold Medal for BA in Political Science at University of Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, and then received her Masters and M.Phil. degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She was the recipient of the UGC Fellowship for M.Phil. programme.
