Extracurriculars
The district offers a variety of clubs, activities and sports. Eligibility for participation is determined by school board policy. All students participating in sports and competitive extra-curricular activities (e.g., Choir, Marching Band, Gate Competitions) must maintain a 2.0 or above cumulative grade point average (GPA), or a 2.0 or above GPA for the previous nine-week grading period, or a 2.0 or above GPA for a 4.5 week interim grading period.
By Pennsylvania law, all K-12 students residing in the district, including those who attend a private nonpublic school, cyber charter school, charter school and those homeschooled, are eligible to participate in the extracurricular programs including all athletics. They must meet the same eligibility rules as the students enrolled in the district's schools.
