Shades of Green (resort) - Eligible Guests

Eligible Guests

Because Shades of Green is an AFRC resort, it is not open to the general public. Reservations may only be made by active-duty and retired members of the Uniformed Services, current Reserve and National Guard members, and civilian employees of the Department of Defense. People who do not meet these eligibility requirements may stay at Shades of Green so long as they are on vacation with a sponsor who is an eligible person.

"Salute To Our Veterans" is a new program started in 2010, which is designed to give all military veterans who have received an honorable discharge (verified by current DD-214) the opportunity to vacation at Shades of Green during the months of January and September.

Room rates are based on rank and/or pay grade. The rates are adjusted on a sliding scale, with prices increasing with rank and pay grade.

Famous quotes containing the words eligible and/or guests:

A man of great employments and excellent performance used to assure me that he did not think a man worth anything until he was sixty; although this smacks a little of the resolution of a certain “Young Men’s Republican Club,” that all men should be held eligible who are under seventy.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

When her guests were awash with champagne and with gin,
She was recklessly sober, as sharp as a pin.
An abstemious man would reel at her look,
As she rolled a bright eye and praised his last book.
    William Plomer (1903–1973)
