BRAC 2005
In its 2005 BRAC Recommendations, DoD recommended to realign Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota. It would distribute the 319th Air Refueling Wing’s KC-135R aircraft to the 916th Air Refueling Wing (AFRC) at Seymour Johnson AFB. The 916 ARW would also host an active duty associate unit. This realignment will bring hundreds of new personnel and their families to the Goldsboro area.
