Parachutist and Freefall Badges
Separately, small metal stars may also be fixed to the Parachutist badge to denote participation in a combat parachutist jump, retroactive to 7 December 1941, and the Military Freefall Parachutist Badge to in a combat military freefall jump, retroactive to 1 October 1994; in those instances, they are referred to as the Parachutist badge with combat jump device and Military Freefall badge with combat jump device, respectively.
