Citaat: Ons eerste en belangrijkste engagement in de wereld is het doen van seva, belangeloze dienstverlening.
Seva is niet iets wat je doet omdat het je goed uitkomt of om er plezier uit te halen.

Famous quotes containing the words religious and/or significance:
“The chief assertion of religious morality is that white is a colour. Virtue is not the absence of vices or the avoidance of moral dangers; virtue is a vivid and separate thing, like pain or a particular smell.”
—Gilbert Keith Chesterton (18741936)
“For a parent, its hard to recognize the significance of your work when youre immersed in the mundane details. Few of us, as we run the bath water or spread the peanut butter on the bread, proclaim proudly, Im making my contribution to the future of the planet. But with the exception of global hunger, few jobs in the world of paychecks and promotions compare in significance to the job of parent.”
—Joyce Maynard (20th century)
