Segerhammar Center For Faith and Culture - The 50th Anniversary Year

The 50th Anniversary Year

The 2009–2010 academic year at CLU represented the school's 50th anniversary as an established university. New facilities include a new building for the KCLU radio station and an Early Childhood Center. These new facilities will be located on the rapidly expanding North Campus. Trinity Hall, a new 220-bed residence hall, is located on the west side of campus near all the other upperclassmen residence halls. It is the largest residence hall on campus since the construction of the 180-bed Grace Hall in 2005. Also in honor of the anniversary, the Enormous Luther statue was painted gold.

Famous quotes containing the words anniversary and/or year:

The second day of July 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more
    John Adams (1735–1826)

July 4. Statistics show that we lose more fools on this day than in all the other days of the year put together. This proves, by the number left in stock, that one Fourth of July per year is now inadequate, the country has grown so.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)
