Security Support Provider Interface

Security Support Provider Interface (SSPI) is an API used by Microsoft Windows systems to perform a variety of security-related operations such as authentication.

SSPI functions as a common interface to several Security Support Providers (SSPs): A Security Support Provider is a dynamic-link library (DLL) that makes one or more security packages available to applications.

Famous quotes containing the words security, support and/or provider:

Those words freedom and opportunity do not mean a license to climb upwards by pushing other people down. Any paternalistic system that tries to provide for security for everyone from above only calls for an impossible task and a regimentation utterly uncongenial to the spirit of our people.
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)

A father ... knows exactly what those boys at the mall have in their depraved little minds because he once owned such a depraved little mind himself. In fact, if he thinks enough about the plans that he used to have for young girls, the father not only will support his wife in keeping their daughter home but he might even run over to the mall and have a few of those boys arrested.
    Bill Cosby (20th century)

That is the thankless position of the father in the family—the provider for all, and the enemy of all.
    J. August Strindberg (1849–1912)
