The Secunderabad Railway Station is serviced by as many as 190 Inter-city and Suburban rail trains daily, on average. Most of these services originate or terminate at the station. The Vijayawada Junction – Wadi line, which passes through the station, is one of the busiest lines of South Central Railways. The station is also a freight station with many freight rail services, by Indian Railways, using the station. It has a Freight Operation Information System for efficient monitoring of freight movement and plans are underway to start coaching operations information systems also.
