Section 377A Actively Enforced Again
Section 377A was again used to charge two men having for having oral sex in a toilet cubicle at Mustafa Centre. The gay community was enraged because the non-gay discriminatory Section 294, which criminalises "any obscene act in any public place" irrespective of gender,, could have been used instead, and would not have suggested an anti-gay governmental stance as much as using Section 377A.
