History
In 1995, the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL) awarded an expansion franchise to the Ackerly Group. The team, based in Seattle was named the SeaDogs.
The SeaDogs’ first two seasons were miserable as the team failed to break even. However, in 1997, they ran to a 21-7 regular season record, winning the league championship.
At the end of the 1997, the CISL folded. Several teams then jumped to various other indoor soccer league’s, but the SeaDogs elected to remain independent as its ownership explored various options. During this period, Clavijo resigned to take up the head coach position with the Florida ThunderCats of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL).

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“A poets object is not to tell what actually happened but what could or would happen either probably or inevitably.... For this reason poetry is something more scientific and serious than history, because poetry tends to give general truths while history gives particular facts.”
—Aristotle (384323 B.C.)
“The best history is but like the art of Rembrandt; it casts a vivid light on certain selected causes, on those which were best and greatest; it leaves all the rest in shadow and unseen.”
—Walter Bagehot (18261877)
“The basic idea which runs right through modern history and modern liberalism is that the public has got to be marginalized. The general public are viewed as no more than ignorant and meddlesome outsiders, a bewildered herd.”
—Noam Chomsky (b. 1928)
