The SeaDogs’ first two seasons were miserable as the team failed to break even. However, in 1997, they ran to a 21-7 regular season record, winning the league championship.
At the end of the 1997, the CISL folded. Several teams then jumped to various other indoor soccer league’s, but the SeaDogs elected to remain independent as its ownership explored various options.
