Refurbishment
The Science Museum underwent a series of refurbishments as part of a vision to update the museum. The East Hall has been finished and the renovated museum shop opened in October 2005. A new gallery, Making Modern Communications, is due to open in 2014. As part of this project, the former Ships gallery, located on the second floor, closed on 15th May 2012.
