Sci-Fi On The Rock - Sci-Fi From The Rock

Another separate-yet-linked project is Sci-Fi from the Rock, a collection of short stories written by convention organizers and published through Engen Books. The collection features stories from convention organizers Darren Hann, Melanie Collins and Steve Lake. It was announced in January 2010 to be released April 18 at Sci-Fi on the Rock IV.

Famous quotes containing the words sci-fi and/or rock:

In sci-fi convention, life-forms that hadn’t developed space travel were mere prehistory—horse-shoe crabs of the cosmic scene—and something of the humiliation of being stuck on a provincial planet in a galactic backwater has stayed with me ever since.
    Barbara Ehrenreich (b. 1941)

    “O what unlucky streak
Twisting inside me, made me break the line?
What was the rock my gliding childhood struck,
And what bright unreal path has led me here?”
    Philip Larkin (1922–1986)
