Schema (Kant) - Transcendental Schema Hyperbole

Transcendental Schema Hyperbole

Being one of the most mysterious, obscure, and recondite concepts in Kant’s philosophy, some writers have claimed that the Transcendental Schema is of the first and utmost importance. Its weightiness has been exaggerated as being essential, most significant, and as being the ultimate core and kernel of Kant’s whole philosophy.

An example of an exaggerated estimate of Kant’s arcane presentation is the claim that the concept of schematism "…forms one of the most remarkable claims of Kant for originality and acuteness."

Famous quotes containing the word hyperbole:

The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people’s fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That’s why a little hyperbole never hurts.
    Donald Trump (b. 1946)
