Taxonomy
The International Carnivorous Plant Society recognizes three cultivars of this species as follows:
- S. oreophila 'Don Schnell'
- S. oreophila 'Heavily Veined'
- S. oreophila 'Sand Mountain'
The cultivar 'Don Schnell', unfortunately, is extinct -- the only specimen died in a greenhouse catastrophe.
