Wright is the eldest child of Robert, a preacher, and Debbie, a dental technician. She has a younger brother named Samuel, who is a United States Marine. Wright married A. J. Mason in 2005, but they divorced in 2006. Since 2007, Wright has been in a relationship with actor Eric Christian Olsen. In 2011, Olsen announced their engagement on an episode of The Talk. They were married near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, on June 23, 2012.
