Sandsurfing - Principles

Principles

Sandsurfers attach a skateboard deck or other similar object to the back of an ATV or vehicle with a watersports tow rope. The first sandsurfing in the Malibu area was done on san dunes approx.35 miles north of Malibu off the coast highway in the early 1960s where young sufers would take their long boards and slide down the mountainside of sand when the surf was down.

Famous quotes containing the word principles:

Syntax is the study of the principles and processes by which sentences are constructed in particular languages. Syntactic investigation of a given language has as its goal the construction of a grammar that can be viewed as a device of some sort for producing the sentences of the language under analysis.
    Noam Chomsky (b. 1928)

With our principles we seek to rule our habits with an iron hand, or to justify, honor, scold, or conceal them:Mtwo men with identical principles are likely to be seeking fundamentally different things with them.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

Government ... thought [it] could transform the country through massive national programs, but often the programs did not work. Too often they only made things worse. In our rush to accomplish great deeds quickly, we trampled on sound principles of restraint and endangered the rights of individuals.
    Gerald R. Ford (b. 1913)
