Sandhikharka also known as Sandhikharka Municipality" is a beautiful valley and the headquarter of Arghakhanchi district. Its lies in Lumbini zone, Nepal. It is situated between two famous mountains Argha and Khanchi on which the district name itself is created. In a recent years Sandhikharka has shown a significant progress in many things such as expansion of roads almost in all corners, training people in all through different forms of national and International non-governmental organisation, engaging people in various activities and producing finest graduates from schools which has made the town itself a beautiful place surrounded by very smart and talented individuals. Although Sandhikharka is a small town but people here are highly educated and it has produced one of the finest scholars and individuals. In recent years the migration of the many fresh graduates towards the developed countries such as USA, Britain, Ireland,Australia, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Spain have increase a lot which has contributed the great skill shortages but the same migrants are the main reasons who have made this town one of a best place to live in Nepal. By sending their hard earned money from abroad, the people living in a foreign land have played the most significant role to make this town advanced enough to compete with any other town or city in Nepal. It is located 380 kilometres (236 mi) southwest of Nepal's capital of Kathmandu.Three small rivers; Bangi river, Ghoche river and Bhadri river are merging at Chutrabeshi, a next part of Snadhikharka. Therefore peoples sometimes use to say Tribeni of Arghakhanchi district. However, only one pitched road that connect to national highway at Gorusinghe. There are many gravel roads constructed from Sandhikharka to many villages of the Arghakhanchi district.
Sandhikharka located around 960 meter above from mean sea level. Climatic condition of the Sandhikharka is normal type. During the summer season, maximum temperature reaches about 37 degree while in the winter season it goes in between 1-10 degree Celsius. The number of rainy days in summer are higher. Winter season normally dry and cold and sometimes, snow covers in the surrounding mountains of Sandhikharka.
