Issue

Sanchia had three sons with Richard of Cornwall:

  • Richard of Cornwall (July 1246 – 15 August 1246)
  • Edmund, 2nd Earl of Cornwall (1249–1300), married Margaret de Clare (died 1312). Childless.
  • Richard of Cornwall (1252–96) who married Joan Saint Owen (born 1260, date of death unknown) and had children. He, however, died at the siege of Berwick-upon-Tweed in 1296.

Sanchia died 9 November 1261 at Berkhamsted Castle and was buried in Hailes Abbey.

Famous quotes containing the word issue:

I did never know so full a voice issue from so empty a heart.
But the saying is true: “The empty vessel makes the greatest
    sound.”
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

The reason child care is such a loaded issue is that when we talk about it, we are always tacitly talking about motherhood. And when we’re talking about motherhood we’re always tacitly assuming that child care must be a very dim second to full-time mother care.
    Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)

Because of these convictions, I made a personal decision in the 1964 Presidential campaign to make education a fundamental issue and to put it high on the nation’s agenda. I proposed to act on my belief that regardless of a family’s financial condition, education should be available to every child in the United States—as much education as he could absorb.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)
