Note: Golden Gate buses may board at a different side of the same platform.

In addition to bus services, there is a single railroad track and side platform that was built as part of the transit center in anticipation of the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit service. However, this platform and track is currently not used even though railroad crossing signs remain in place.

Route 101, Golden Gate Transit's limited-stop service, serves the San Rafael Transit Center complementing the existing Route 80 on weekdays (except holidays) and Saturdays. For a description of this service, click here. Route 80 continues to serve the SRTC weeknights, weekends, and holidays when the Route 101 does not operate.

Famous quotes containing the words routes, stopping, san, transit and/or center:

The myth of independence from the mother is abandoned in mid- life as women learn new routes around the mother—both the mother without and the mother within. A mid-life daughter may reengage with a mother or put new controls on care and set limits to love. But whatever she does, her child’s history is never finished.
    Terri Apter (20th century)

    Is whispering nothing?
Is leaning cheek to cheek? Is meeting noses?
Kissing with inside lip? Stopping the career
Of laughter with a sigh?—a note infallible
    Of breaking honesty.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

It is an odd thing, but every one who disappears is said to be seen at San Francisco. It must be a delightful city, and possess all the attractions of the next world.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)

We only seem to learn from Life that Life doesn’t matter so much as it seemed to do—it’s not so burningly important, after all, what happens. We crawl, like blinking sea-creatures, out of the Ocean onto a spur of rock, we creep over the promontory bewildered and dazzled and hurting ourselves, then we drop in the ocean on the other side: and the little transit doesn’t matter so much.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)

The greatest part of each day, each year, each lifetime is made up of small, seemingly insignificant moments. Those moments may be cooking dinner...relaxing on the porch with your own thoughts after the kids are in bed, playing catch with a child before dinner, speaking out against a distasteful joke, driving to the recycling center with a week’s newspapers. But they are not insignificant, especially when these moments are models for kids.
    Barbara Coloroso (20th century)
