Cory Joseph Spangenberg (born March 16, 1991 in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania) is a minor league baseball shortstop for the San Diego Padres organization. He graduated from Abington Heights High School in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania in 2009. His senior year, he led the Abington Heights Comets varsity baseball team to a PIAA Class AAA state championship.
He was drafted by the Padres in the first round (10th overall) of the 2011 MLB Draft. Before the 2012 season, MLB.com rated Spangenberg as the 81st best prospect in baseball.
