San Diego International Airport - Security Breach

Security Breach

On May 29, 2012, a security breach occurred when parolee Marc Duncan walked through an emergency door that led from the baggage claim area of the commuter terminal out to the tarmac. He then boarded a United Express Embraer 120 bound for Los Angeles, but was subsequently removed and arrested after a flight attendant headcount was off. Passengers and baggage on the affected were re-screened and the flight departed two hours later without incident. The airport remained open during the whole ordeal.

Famous quotes containing the words security and/or breach:

In the long course of history, having people who understand your thought is much greater security than another submarine.
    J. William Fulbright (b. 1905)

Good manners, to those one does not love, are no more a breach of truth, than “your humble servant,” at the bottom of a challenge is; they are universally agreed upon, and understand to be things of course. They are necessary guards of the decency and peace of society.
Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)
