Although this device is not based on either Windows Mobile or Windows Phone, on 2010, Microsoft has successfully made a modification on this device to able to run Windows Phone just before the official debut of Samsung first Windows Phone smartphone, Omnia 7. (The Windows Phone operating system can't run on the Omnia HD's original OMAP3 processor, the a WP7 prototype handset had a Snapdragon-based board.)
