Club Career
Sammir started his senior football career at Brazilian team Atlético Paranaense. He failed to make any appearances for the Brazilian club and was loaned out to various other teams from around his native country. In 2006 he joined Venda Nova, but quickly was loaned out to São Caetano and then Dinamo Zagreb.
