Sam Wedgbury - Personal Life

Personal Life

Born in Oldbury, West Midlands, Wedgbury states he "comes from a working-class family" and that he has been brought up to work hard. His mother is the manager at a care home and his father a self-employed builder, and he believes he would probably be working with his father if he "hadn't been playing football".

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:

A man lives not only his personal life, as an individual, but also, consciously or unconsciously, the life of his epoch and his contemporaries.
    Thomas Mann (1875–1955)

The lover never sees personal resemblances in his mistress to her kindred or to others. His friends find in her a likeness to her mother, or her sisters, or to persons not of her blood. The lover sees no resemblance except to summer evenings and diamond mornings, to rainbows and the song of birds.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

What is the life of man! Is it not to shift from side to side?—from sorrow to sorrow?—to button up one cause of vexation!—and unbutton another!
    Laurence Sterne (1713–1768)
