On January 17, 2012, Seamans was invested as an oblate of Subiaco Abbey, a Benedictine monastery in Subiaco, Arkansas. Abbot Jerome Kodell and Fr. Mark Stengel performed the ceremony in the Chapel of St. Benedict in the abbey.
