Famous quotes containing the words life and/or death:

    And whether life had been before that sleep
    The Heaven which I imagine, or a Hell

    ‘Like this harsh world in which I wake to weep,
    I know not.
    Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792–1822)

    How I envy you death;
    what could death bring,
    more black, more set with sparks
    to slay, to affright,
    than the memory of those first violets.
    Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)
