Second Extension of Salik
RTA is currently installing SALIK gates at two additional locations, one at Al Mamzar Bridge and another one at the Dubai Airport Tunnel. Those will be activated on 15 April 2013. RTA aims to ease traffic congestion on the route from Sharjah and the other Northern Emirates into Dubai.
