School Structure
As a part of the University of Salford, the school is part of the College of Arts and Social Sciences and has a Dean of School .
Its management is directed by the Dean of School and the School Executive. Key operational activities of the school are dealt with through a committee structure that includes a Research and Enterprise Committee, Teaching and Learning Committee and a Marketing and Recruitment Committee. As a result of a review conducted in early 2009 the school has established an Undergraduate Programme Leaders group and a Postgraduate Programme Leaders group to deal with common teaching and learning issues. Each programme also conducts regular Student-Staff committee meetings. The school has three academic directorates: Business Management, Business Operations and Business Strategy. Day-to-day staffing and resource issues are dealt with at a directorate level.

Famous quotes containing the words school and/or structure:
“For those parents from lower-class and minority communities ... [who] have had minimal experience in negotiating dominant, external institutions or have had negative and hostile contact with social service agencies, their initial approaches to the school are often overwhelming and difficult. Not only does the school feel like an alien environment with incomprehensible norms and structures, but the families often do not feel entitled to make demands or force disagreements.”
—Sara Lawrence Lightfoot (20th century)
“There is no such thing as a language, not if a language is anything like what many philosophers and linguists have supposed. There is therefore no such thing to be learned, mastered, or born with. We must give up the idea of a clearly defined shared structure which language-users acquire and then apply to cases.”
—Donald Davidson (b. 1917)
