Reveo
In 1990 Faris founded Reveo, Inc. where he is the Chairman and CEO. They practice wide ranging multi-disciplinary activities include: water, energy, DNA sequencing, electro-optics, novel materials, nano-electronics, aerodynamics, nuclear, novel propulsion. Reveo has spun-out several subsidiaries based on its research including, VRex (www.vrex.com) ; eVionyx (www.evionyx.com), Chelix, (www.chelix.com), Xellerion, (www.xellerion.com) and PetaComm, (www.petacomm.com.).
Faris is also the originator of the InventQbation Business Model, which attempts to close the technology gap between countries and enterprises.
In January 2003 Reveo and the Government of Malaysia started a research and development centre named InventQjaya (IQJ). Officially Inaugurated in October 2003 by Dr. Mahathir, IQJ in 2 years fully built and staffed State-of-the-Art Laboratory, achieved a Guinness World Record in distance for an all-electric vehicle, repatriated many Malaysian scientists.
Unfortunately, soon after Dr Mahathir retired, InventQjaya and many other projects were shut down by new administration of Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi. This was done by invoking obscure AMLA and discrediting Dr. Faris.
