Famous quotes containing the words sacred, heart and/or major:
“You are told a lot about your education, but some beautiful, sacred memory, preserved since childhood, is perhaps the best education of all. If a man carries many such memories into life with him, he is saved for the rest of his days. And even if only one good memory is left in our hearts, it may also be the instrument of our salvation one day.”
—Feodor Dostoyevsky (18211881)
“He has outsoared the shadow of our night;
Envy and calumny and hate and pain,
And that unrest which men miscall delight,
Can touch him not and torture not again;
From the contagion of the worlds slow stain
He is secure, and now can never mourn
A heart grown cold, a head grown grey in vain.”
—Percy Bysshe Shelley (17921822)
“Look, Im not saying he didnt make some major mistakes. When it comes to value judgments, Rob is right up there with Custer and Nixon.”
—Jonathan Reynolds, screenwriter. Leo (Richard Mulligan)
