Ryan Hall (footballer) - Early Career

Early Career

He came through the Crystal Palace academy, but was not given a chance by Iain Dowie or his successor Peter Taylor, and was sent on loan to Lewes of the Conference South to gain experience during the 2006–07 season, scoring on his debut.

Hall caused controversy after being involved in a fracas at a five-a-side football tournament, which resulted in a security guard being hospitalised with facial injuries.

Hall made his Palace debut as a late substitute in the 2007–08 season and appeared again in an FA Cup defeat before moving to League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge on loan, impressing enough to have the loan spell extended for a second month. He returned to Palace having scored twice in eight appearances for the Daggers. After failing to get into the Palace team under Neil Warnock he then moved to Crawley Town where he pursued the same record as he did at Dagenham. He later on moved to Bromley on a permanent basis. On 25 March 2009, Hall played as a trialist for Grimsby Town Reserves against Hartlepool United Reserves.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or career:

For with this desire of physical beauty mingled itself early the fear of death—the fear of death intensified by the desire of beauty.
Walter Pater 1839–1894, British writer, educator. originally published in Macmillan’s Magazine (Aug. 1878)

He was at a starting point which makes many a man’s career a fine subject for betting, if there were any gentlemen given to that amusement who could appreciate the complicated probabilities of an arduous purpose, with all the possible thwartings and furtherings of circumstance, all the niceties of inward balance, by which a man swings and makes his point or else is carried headlong.
