Investments in Ruwais
There are large investments in Ruwais that are helping Ruwais to be wealthy and to progress. There are more plans for Ruwais and its lead by ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company). ADNOC is the largest investment in Ruwais, making Ruwais its major hub for its oil products.
The Shuweihat S1 Independent Water and Power Project comprises a “greenfield” power generation and water desalination facility (the “Plant”) in operation since 2004, with a power generation capacity of 1500 MW & 100 MIGD distillate.
