Ruth Ellis (activist)
Ruth Ellis (July 23, 1899 - October 5, 2000) was the oldest known open lesbian, and an LGBT rights activist. Her life was the subject of the documentary directed by Yvonne Welbon, Living With Pride: Ruth C. Ellis @ 100.
