Rusty Hilger - East-West Shrine Game

East-West Shrine Game

Rusty Hilger was selected to play in the 60th Annual East West Shrine Game at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, California. Hilger and University of Nevada Las Vegas Quarterback Randall Cunningham were teamed with (1984 National Champion) Head Coach LaVell Edwards of Brigham Young University. For the first time, Hilger's talent would be on display in a pro-style offense under the watchful eyes of NFL owners, coaches, and scouts.

Famous quotes containing the words shrine and/or game:

The United Nations cannot do anything, and never could; it is not an animate entity or agent. It is a place, a stage, a forum and a shrine ... a place to which powerful people can repair when they are fearful about the course on which their own rhetoric seems to be propelling them.
    Conor Cruise O’Brien (b. 1917)

In the game of love, the losers are more celebrated than the winners.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
